Noddy Fun Book

This is one of my favourite early learning educational product. Noddy Fun Book is made in Taiwan and it is one of the more popular products as it is used in Shichida's class in Singapore. It is also available for sale in Shichida's schools. This set is very similar to Fun Thinkers which I would talk about later in another post.

Although the set is made in Taiwan, the books are all in English which is suitable for the school's curriculum in Singapore. In my opinion, it is suitable for toddlers from age 2 to 5. What I like about this set is that it is very colourful which can actually grasp the short attention span of young children and makes them stay focused for longer periods of time.

These are the benefits for using this set,

Developmental Benefits

• Trains logical thinking
• Fosters observation & concentration skills
• Enhances language basics
• Encourages cognitive abilities
• Develops motor skills & hand-eye coordination
• Strengthens coloring skills & stimulates artistic senses

How to play:

This product uses a flip grid with number tiles to play. Your child would need to take a tile starting from number one and put it on the correct space on the next page. After the child completes the activity, just close the flip grid, flip over and check the answers based on the colour codes at the top right hand corner of the page.

I bought this set quite sometime back, in year 2010 or 2011 maybe? During that time, my elder boy was just 2 years old and I have already started to let him try out the activities then. Now it is the baby girl who keeps asking to do more activities! She actually feels like she is playing instead of learning!

I think I bought it at about $80 which is considered quite reasonable considering that most right brain training products don't come cheap. I never regretted this purchase as the kids are using it till today. It is really a good investment if you have more than 1 child. Most importantly, if my children enjoys using the product and is able to benefit them in their learning, I wouldn't mind paying more for it as the love for learning needs to be cultivated from an early age.

Where to buy:

I bought this set in year 2010 or 2010 through an online blogshop which is no longer in operation. I am not sure if the production for this product has ceased. However, there are people selling second hand sets in Carousell. These sets are also sold in Shichida Schools.

Introduction

I am a full-time working mother of 3 who is very devoted to my kids. I am also very pro-education who believes that early learning is crucial to cultivate a love in learning and lead the children to be successful in life.

Early education also helps to build a strong foundation to what they would learn in future. It would make school work so much easier to cope. It is important that kids do not get to overwhelmed by the challenging school work otherwise they would just give up on that subject and refuse to learn (my own experience). Kids will be kids. Therefore, I try to make learning as fun as possible for my kids.

Education need not be just confined to classroom learning. Learning through play is very important as well just like some early education products which uses the concept of learning through play. Another learning through play experience which I find is really enriching is the Kidzania Theme Park which I would share more later.

I am very interested in educational products for my children and I do a lot of research on them before buying them so as not to regret my purchase later. At times, I get quite frustrated when I couldn't find or found very little about a particular product. Hence, I have started this blog to share my very own reviews and experiences with the products. These posts are not sponsored by any of the merchants.
